The 'Options' tab:

This tab allows you to customize your MovieFinder preferences.

At the top of this tab are three options for Program Appearance:

Changing program appearance requires MovieFinder to reload:

Clicking on 'Native Operating System' (using Windows XP) yields:

Clicking on 'Native Operating System' (using Macintosh OS X) yields:

(Note: Linux and other Unix-based operating systems cannot override MovieFinder's appearance with the native operating system's appearance. In these operating systems, the 'Native Operating System' program appearance looks just like Java program appearance and is therefore not an option.)

Clicking on 'Java Virtual Machine' yields:

The 'Java Virtual Machine' appearance is the same, regardless of Operating System.

Note: if during any single execution of MovieFinder the 'Substance' Program Appearance is used, you may not return to the 'Java Virtual Machine' Program Appearance, or visual problems will result (as shown below). You must terminate the application and restart in order to use the 'Java Virtual Machine' Program Appearance again.

Clicking on 'Substance' yields a color theme choice:

You may click on any of the themes to preview their appearance before applying them to MovieFinder.

The 'Substance' Program Appearance is the MovieFinder default. Like the 'Java Virtual Machine' Program Appearance, it looks the same regardless of the Operating System being used.

(Note: the 'Substance' program appearance requires longer load time than the other two.) Why?

You may also print your current selections or all movies from this tab.

A 'Print Preview' window will popup, and you will be given the option to print numbers next to the title (as shown).

You will also be shown your standard Printing Preferences window:
